How to get started on Synora
from sign-up to the first appointment
You start Synora in the browser, with nothing to install: fill in a form with the clinic's name, your name and email (phone optional), open the link we email you and choose a password, and you are on the Free plan. The dashboard then lists six steps: dentist, room, working hours, cash register, first patient, first appointment.

What are the six setup steps?
Once you are in, the dashboard shows a Get your clinic ready checklist with these steps, in this order. Each one ticks itself off once its data exists; the checklist is shown to whoever may set up the clinic and disappears when every step is done. The first four are on the Clinic setup screen:
- Add a dentist. Choose an existing staff account and make it bookable: your own if you are the dentist, or a dentist you invited first from Users & roles. Without one, there is no one to book appointments with.
- Add a treatment room. The chair a patient sits in, where the appointment takes place. The free plan has one.
- Set working hours. The clinic's opening hours and each dentist's hours. The calendar works out free slots from them, and a day left unticked can never be booked.
- Open a cash register. The drawer money goes into. Every payment, refund and expense is recorded against one, and it is where you close the day.
- Register your first patient. From Patients. Their file, chart and invoices start here.
- Book your first appointment. From the Calendar.
Is there a price list ready?
Yes, as a starting point. Every new clinic starts with a Procedure catalogue in Arabic and English, in seven categories: diagnostic, preventive, restorative, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and prosthodontics. Each procedure has a default duration and price, and treatment plans and invoices are built from it.
Those prices are rough starting figures, not market prices and not a recommendation. You can change any of them on screen, or set up price lists for the clinic or a branch, and plans made before a change keep their prices. On an invoice you can also add a line with a price you type yourself.
How do I add my team?
From Users & roles you send an email invitation and choose the person's role (such as Dentist, Receptionist or Accountant) and the branches they work at. They open the link and choose their own password. You can also create a custom role with the permissions you pick.
More on this in staff and permissions.
Free has two accounts, and an invitation that has not been accepted counts toward them. Pro has unlimited accounts; see pricing.
What about my existing patients in Excel?
Synora has no import from Excel or other software yet; data entry is manual. What works in practice:
- Start with active patients: register each one when they come for their appointment, instead of copying the whole archive at once.
- If a phone number is already on file, the app warns you before it creates a duplicate record.
- Remember that Free goes up to 50 patients, so a large active list needs Pro.
The limits in detail: the free plan.
Can someone help me get started?
Book a 15-minute walkthrough on WhatsApp or a call: someone shows you the product and answers your questions, with no commitment. Setting up and entering data is still done by you, from your account; nobody enters it for you.
Enterprise (for groups with more than one branch) includes “Priority support”, on terms agreed with each group.

No. Synora is a web app that needs an internet connection; there is no offline mode or desktop program. If the clinic's line goes down, any device with internet can open it, a phone's mobile hotspot included.
Not in order, but without a dentist and working hours the calendar has no free slots to offer, and without a cash register you cannot record a payment.
